Wearing my editing hat – courtesy of the Society for Freelance Editors and Proofreaders - I have worked regularly as a copy-editor and proofreader with Birkhäuser Verlag (since 1998), and also with Lars Müller and Dunedin Academic Press. In particular, I have copy-edited five of books in the Understanding Religion series, the latest of which, Frank Whaling’s Understanding Hinduism, appeared at the end of 2009.
Another editing project was John Dixon-Hunt’s book The Venetian Garden City, published by Birkhauser in November 2009.
I also have extensive experience of EFL editing, namely copy-editing work that has been written by non-native English academics.
